The most important audience to attract is not a human

If Google fails to deem your company website as authoritative in your genre, the chances of a human ever seeing your website are nil.

The component of Google that determines rank includes zero human interaction on Google’s part

That component is a scoring system.

The “scoring system” is an algorithm, it has to be because not even a team of 20,000 highly trained computer scientists could possibly view, let alone score the millions of pieces of content published on a daily basis. What is an algorithm?

a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem-solving operations, especially by a computer.

Each page on a  website for a local sign fabrication company includes photo examples of signs they have done… trouble is algorithms cannot see photos or graphics, they are blind, they “see” in braille, the only opportunity to attract the algorithm is via text:

No Text= No Ranking

I keep preaching this.. sometimes my client’s write articles.. but the way they go about it isn’t going to do them much good.

What KIND of articles should I write?

If you were the AI ( artificial intelligence / machine learning ) algorithm that scores websites for Google…  what would you need to see before you passed out Google Page Rank?

The SEO reply to that question revolves around you knowing what it is that your ideal client needs and wants, if you don’t know that, your articles are likely to be of little benefit
