Add A Google+ Widget To Your Blog

Add a widget to your blog’s widget is one really good way to associate your company blog with your Google+ account in order to get “targeted” followers in Google+

Here is what mine looks like as of November 28, 2011:

Here’s how to add that widget to your Blogger blog.

Step One) Go to WidgetsPlus to generate the code for your blog, detailed instructions to follow

Step 2) Once you’re there, you’re being asked to enter your Google+ ID number:

Here’s how to find out what your Google+ ID number is:

Open your Google+ profile in a separate tab

Click on Profile, in the address bar of your browser chop out JUST the number after the slash

Step3) Copy that number into the code generating box at WidgetsPlus

Now how to add that to your Blogger blog

For A Blogger Blog (a Blogspot blog) click on Design

Blogger calls a “Widget” a “Gadget” (don’t ask me, these guys seem to want to “name things” different, probably to avoid trademark complaints perhaps?)

Clicking on that link will open another window, there will be a dozen or so choices, scroll down until you find “HTML/JavaScript”, click on that one
