MiNeeds Profile Review
Search engine optimization is not a static enterprise, it’s a constantly changing dynamic endeavor. What the search engines favors in spring may actually hurt by winter. To make matters more interesting, Google, by far the largest search engine is frequently changing it’s scoring system to determine what it wants from a website to rank high in it’s ranking system. Google even has a patented name for it’s ranking system: PageRank
There are pros and cons to the dynamic ever changing requirements of search engine optimization. The frequent updates to the algorithim levels the playing field. A small advertising agency has just as much chance as a large advertising agency if the “rules” are only about a week or two old.
Here at Frederick Web Promotions we are constantly testing methods of improving the ranking of our paying SEO clients. We recently tested a site called MiNeeds and this post is a review of our experiences with it.
If you Google this question: What is MiNeeds? the first thing that strikes us as odd is that users of MiNeeds is what Google returns for that query. You see the people who are using MiNeeds and not the main website for MiNeeds.
It’s a little hard to easily figure out exactly what they do there, you have to “interpret” what you are expecting to get from a free profile there.
From their site:
Save Money & Time With MiNeeds
Broadcast your need within your local vicinity.
Have service professionals come to you with competitive bids rather than you searching for them.
We used this free service and found our “listing” all over the search engines for the keywords we wanted to be found under (for our client), unfortunately this did us no good whatsoever!
The post we made on the site was, republished on some of the best article directories on the net… All With Our URL Stripped Out!!!
We wont be making that mistake again!
